What kind of wear-resistant steel plate is NM400?
NM400 is a high-strength wear-resistant steel plate with high strength and hardness, which can be used for a long time under a variety of harsh conditions. Its implementation standard is GB/T 24186-2009. Electric furnace steelmaking can be adopted and it is made from scrap iron. The steel plates are delivered in the states of high-temperature tempering, quenching + tempering (quenched and tempered).
The chemical composition of NM400 wear-resistant steel usually includes: the carbon (C) content is ≤ 0.25, the silicon (Si) content is ≤ 0.70, the manganese (Mn) content is ≤ 1.60, the phosphorus (P) content is ≤ 0.025, the sulfur (S) content is ≤ 0.010, the chromium (Cr) content is ≤ 1.4, the nickel (Ni) content is ≤ 1.00, and the molybdenum (Mo) content is ≤ 0.50, etc.
This kind of wear-resistant steel is mainly applied in occasions or parts that require wear resistance, such as construction machinery, mining machinery, coal mine machinery, environmental protection machinery, metallurgical machinery, etc. It can be used to manufacture bucket plates, blade plates, side blade plates, and blades of excavators, loaders, and bulldozers, as well as liner plates and blades of crushers and other components. It can prolong the service life of the equipment and reduce the maintenance-induced overhaul downtime and the corresponding capital investment.
